Flameback Cichlid ~2.5"

The Flameback Cichlid, also known as the Compressed Cichlid, is a beautiful and popular species of freshwater fish native to Lake Tanganyika in Africa. They are named for the vibrant orange-red coloration on their dorsal fin and upper body, which contrasts with the yellow-green color on their lower body and fins. Flameback Cichlids have a peaceful temperament and can be kept with other non-aggressive fish of similar size in a well-decorated aquarium with plenty of hiding places.

Care Level: Moderate

Max Size: Typically grow to be around 5 inches (12 cm) in length

Temperature: Water temperature betwen 75-82°F (24-28°C)

PH: Water pH between 7.5-8.6

Diet: Omnivorous, feeds on a variety of foods including flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, krill, and bloodworms.
